Veteran actor Michael Boatman has landed a new role on the Nick at Nite sitcom pilot “Instant Mom.” That is great news for the actor who’s appeared on shows ranging from “The Game” to “Criminal Minds.” It’s bad news for actor Duane Martin who Boatman replaced.
According to Deadline, Michael Boatman will be starring alongside Tia Mowry in the sitcom. The decision to replace Martin with Boatman came down after the first table read with Martin and Mowry.

“Instant Mom” is about a 25-year-old party girl who must give up all of her hard partying ways when she marries a successful doctor who is older than she is with three children from a previous relationship.
Duane Martin might not be too upset over it considering he just started his own real estate company. I guess congratulations are in order to both gentlemen.
