Material Handling Specialist Job

The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for managing Material Handling deliverables for new and modified vehicle programs from concept to post-launch follow-up. The Specialist will analyze all product changes that impact packaging/material flow / F&E devices, and submit forecasted material handling costs, and budget during planning & implementation. Analyze manufacturing planning and vehicle loading studies and provide a detailed material handling related investment business case, across multiple plants and programs. Review and submit material handling impact for all source package and supply cost studies. Interact and engage with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Transportation, Volume Planning, Finance, etc.) to ensure management of requirements and risks. Maintain a project timeline for all material handling deliverables (racks, containers, equipment and facility) and ensure timely delivery within cost objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 7-10 years related work experience

• Knowledge of material handling engineering and/or supply chain management
• Proficient in using MS Office applications
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of management
