Job Overview:
Responsible for performing general cleaning and upkeep of assigned area within the Cobo Convention Center for the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. This is a temporary position beginning the first week of January 2013. Assignment approx. two weeks. Specific tasks are not guaranteed, therefore, must be flexible in performing assigned duties as outlined below.
Job Duties*:
- Empty, clean and disinfect all waste receptacles and remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated area.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, halls and corridors.
- Hand dust and wipe clean/disinfect all furniture, fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces.
- Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
- Sweep, with broom, all stairways, and vacuum if carpeted.
- Police stairwells and clean or damp mop spillage.
- Damp mop, disinfect any spillage in restrooms, corridors and halls as required.
- Dust the exterior surfaces of lighting fixtures, including glass and plastic enclosures.
- Wipe clean and polish all metal hardware fixtures and other bright work.
- Clean entrance door glass inside and outside.
- Sweep or dust mop floors.
- Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations.

Essential Job Functions/Qualifications:
1. Must have ability to work with other crew members and be able to take direction from Supervisor.
