September is a big month for Jay-Z. Not only does he open the brand new Barclays Center with a series of sold out concerts in his beloved Brooklyn neighborhood in a little over three weeks, his inaugural Made In America Festival kicks off today in Philadelphia.

Over the course of two days the festival, sponsored by Budweiser, will see acts like Janelle Monae, Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group, Pearl Jam, D’angelo and more grace the stage at Benjamin Franklin Park. Jay-Z will headline the concert today (Sepember 1st) and Pearl Jam will do the honors on Sunday.

With such an eclectic assortment of musical talent I’m sure Jay hopes Made In America can become as big as Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Woodstock. The most anticipated performance has got to be the return of pioneering Hip Hop group Run-DMC. Why is this significant? After the tragic loss of their DJ Jam Master Jay in 2002 the surviving members of the legendary group, Joseph “Reverend Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels vowed to never perform again out of respect for the legacy of JMJ.

You can catch all the performances via live stream on YouTube here
