Recently YMCMB‘s Birdman and his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams sat down with Billboard, where they were honored for ranking number 25 on the “Power 100” most influential people in the entertainment business. During their interview Birdman stated YMCMB has dominated the hip-hop, pop and R&B charts for a while now, and now Birdman reveals that the label is looking to make the jump to gospel.
“We dominate Rap, but we need to dominate R&B. We need to dominate Pop, Gospel, Country—we’re a brand so we should be able to put out all these types of music. We just got to keep grinding.”
